Infant formula sold only at Walmart has been recalled because it may contain 'metal foreign matter'

Formula for infants that is sold exclusively at was voluntarily recalled on Friday.

Perrigo Company plc issued the recall of its Parent’s Choice Advantage Infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron due to 'the potential presence of metal foreign matter in a single lot of the product, it announced in a press release.

The recall was issued following a consumer report, though no reports of illness or other health issues have been reported after consuming the product.

The recall affects 35-ounce, 992-gram containers of the formula for children up to one year of age.

Consumers who may have purchased the product should look for Lot Code C26EVFV with a "use by" date of February 26, 2021, which can be found on the bottom of the package,' the company said.

Any consumers who purchased the product should discontinue use and can visit any Walmart store for a refund.

A total of 23,388 containers of the formula are impacted by the recall.
