There will be no prison time for a Missouri man who pleaded guilty to molesting an 11-year-old girl.
Joseph Meili, 22, of Russellville, Mo. was sentenced to five years of supervised probation, according to the Jefferson City News Tribune.
Meili previously pleaded guilty to charges after authorities said he met up with the young girl via a dating app and sexually assaulted her at a Springfield apartment.
The newspaper reported the 11-year-old girl told police she had fallen asleep and woken up to believe a sexual encounter had occurred. A test later confirmed that the girl had contracted chlamydia, a sexually transmitted disease, and that the two had sex, HuffPost reported.
Meili is now a registered sex offender.
